Three health care organizations last week shared in the proceeds from the fourth annual Bryan and Mike Memorial Golf Tournament. Presentations were made in the gazebo-horticultural gardens area of downtown Parkhill. Parkhill Community Medical Centre is recipient of $4,500, presented by Lesley and Stan Franjkovic, on the left, to medical centre board member Bertha Wolf. On the right are Anne Wiersma, Jacqui Wiersma-Cooper and Peter Wiersma.

The Franjkovics were also on hand for presentation of $4,500 to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital’s executive director Sue McLean, third from left, accepting from Anne Wiersma, Jacqui Wiersma-Cooper and Peter Wiersma.

$9,000 from this June’s tournament was earmarked for cancer research at London Health Sciences Centre. Its manager of special events, Kim Pritchard, is joined by the Franjkovics on the left and members of the wiersma family on the left. Cancer claimed the life of Bryan Wiersma in December, 2002 and his friend Mike Franjkovic died in a vehicle crash in January, 2005.
